THE AUTHOR

In college, I majored in literature and chose James Joyce for my honors thesis. When I suggested to my honors advisor that Joyce would be complex enough to keep my interest for a year, he, a perfect gentleman, didn’t blink.

After a time spent teaching, I began working with school committees and boards as they prepared to select principals and superintendents. At the request of The Association of Independent Schools, I created a book on hiring educational leaders, a book designed to improve the process. It was their best selling book for many years.

Recognizing the need for guidance as other not-for-profits began searches for leadership, I wrote a THE ART OF HIRING LEADERS. During my consulting career, I was also writing short stories. The discovery of a treasure trove of family letters was the inspiration for the novel, LOVE SARAH.
